BACK-TO-BACK BEST APPLE PIE — Bellflower resident Phyllis Ridenour, once again winner of Apple Pie Baking Contest, receives her award from special guest, Southern California’s favorite DJ, Shawn Parr of Go Country 105 FM during the recent Bellflower Apple Harvest Festival. |
Highlighting the festival was the most-awaited, by young and old, Apple Pie Eating Contest which brought excitement and laughter to both contestants and spectators. The Apple Pie Baking contest was, of course, the main draw, with different versions of sweet-smelling and mouth-watering apple pies on display. Pie-baking enthusiast and civic-minded, unbeatable Phyllis Ridenour stole the show, again, by winning first place for the second time!
The Bellflower Chamber of Commerce thanked the sponsors of this event: the City of Bellflower, American Beauty College, Beaver, Menkes & Hass Accounting, Belmont Place Apartments, Carpet 4 U, Child Evangelism, Countrywide Home Loans, George Chevrolet, Hunt Industrial; Quizno Subs #4589, participating businesses, organizations and individuals, as well as the guests, friends and the community. |
