3rd Annual Apple Harvest
Festival, September 29th

BELLFLOWER BULLETIN

The Bellflower Chamber of Commerce and the City of Bellflower will jointly present this year’s Bellflower 3rd Apple Harvest Festival, a family-oriented day of music, events for children, tasty edibles, and colorful displays in celebration of the City’s Golden Anniversary. Mark the changing of the seasons at downtown Bellflower on Saturday, September 29th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
As in the past celebrations the main event will be a contest on apple pie preparation. Judges (selected committee) will cast their votes on the entry they like the best based on: taste, texture, consistency, blend of spices, aroma and color. Three schedules of apple pie eating contest will also be featured during the feast that will likewise accommodate children ages 12 & under.

Like the Chili Cook-Off, an annual street festival in Bellflower, the Apple Harvest Streetfest also promises another jovial celebration not only among the local residents but also among vendors and participants of different organized groups from other communities. Live musical renditions will be shown and some other forms of entertainment provided to add more thrill and fun to the occasion. An array of crafts and delicious- smelling and tasting food is expected, and many more.

For more information about the festival and to interested vendors and participants please call or visit the Bellflower Chamber of Commerce for more particulars on guidelines and fees. Registration forms will be given for free. Visit the Bellflower Chamber of Commerce at 16730 Bellflower Blvd., Bellflower, or call (562) 867-1744.
